Race season is officially here! We all dislike when we have to stop on our run to re-tie our shoes, something and especially to fix our hair! Instead of wearing it in a regular ponytail that we know will fall out, why not try something different? Today's How-To is all about the Bubble braid. It's very easy to do with just some simple steps. Also if you have bangs I have a little trick for you too!
This style is easy to do, and can be done on almost any hair length.
Tools & Accessories:
- Bobby Pin
- Small hair elastics
- 3-7 Hair ties (depends how long your hair is)
Let's start with the bangs:
Secure with a bobby pin
Once your bangs are twisted out of the way we can move forward to the Bubble Braid. The bubble braid is done in sections and can be as short or as long as you'd like it to be. This also depends on how long your hair is.
The first section can start as high as you'd like it to be. I usually just section my hair about an inch above my ears and secure it with a hair tie. Begin to braid that ponytail. Tip: Braid the ponytail longer than you want in the bubble--it will all start to make sense soon.
After you've braided that ponytail and secured it with a hair elastic, grab a second section of hair, adding the braided ponytail and braid again.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for as long as you'd like. My hair is a just below the shoulders so I just did three bubble braids. Tip: To make the braids look bigger and fuller, gently pull them out a bit.
There you have it, the Bubble Braid. It's super easy and will stay in place while you run! Now it's time for me to watch the Boston Marathon and cheer on all the runners from all over the world!
Until next time, have a great hair day!
