Happy Wednesday Friends! Today on Behind the Chair, I'm introducing you to two lovelies that I met a couple years ago when I first moved to Toronto. They are the owners of YYZ Imports! I am a big fan of their jewelry and they always have something new and pretty! I was so honored when they asked me to be a part of their photoshoot for some of their new accessories. The lovely ladies are so loving and always make me smile! Meet, Jess and Ernestina!
They love travelling and always find unique pieces from their travels. So being based in Toronto, the name is so fitting for their company, YYZ Imports! They bring beautiful unique pieces to us from all over. Here is more of their story:
What is the inspiration behind YYZ Imports?
We've always had an incredible passion for travel, and aspired to start and run our own business. And quite naturally, the inspiration for YYZ Imports came to us while on our way home from a trip to Thailand. People would constantly ask us about the amazing jewelry we would find there as you don't see anything like it in Canada, so we decided to bring it here and make these unique pieces accessible to Canadians. It was an idea over a cocktail on an airplane, and a year and a half or so later YYZ Imports was born. Although, our search started in Thailand, our range of products currently includes pieces from Thailand, India, The United States, and England.
What are some of your most unique finds? Or favorite accessories?
We currently offer quite a large range of products from incredibly delicate to large chunky statement pieces, but we will always have a special place in our hearts for the long pendants and clocks that made up most of the collection we launched with. Here are a couple of our absolute favourites: Only Time and Uplar
“You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don't make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off you.” – Maya Angelou
Enjoy the pics from our shoot from some of the pieces from their collections. It was my modelling debut ;)
