DIY: The Fishtail

It's finally here the popular fishtail braid! Many of you have asked me how to do this braid so I've put together this quick and easy step by step DIY for you all!

I really like how the fishtail braid looks, it's so different than the regular three strand braid. You can wear it in so many different ways. Today's braid is up in a ponytail, but if you head over to my Instagram page you'll be able to see the different ways I like to do the fishtail braid on my friends.

To start, pull your hair back into a ponytail. I like to spray my hair with a little bit of water, so the braid hold better.

Once your hair is in a ponytail, grab two small strands of hair

Cross them over each other, creating an 'X'

Grab another strand from the left side and add it to the right,

Do the same from the right and cross over to the left

Keep adding hair and crossing over from the left to the right (or vice versa) going all the way down the ponytail.

When it feels like you have 'run' out of hair, just grab strands from the outside and cross them over.

The braid can be as long or as short as you'd like it to be. This braid is MEGA easy to do, it's a criss cross pattern. Once you're done tie it with a small hair elastic and spray it with a bit of hairspray.

See you next week for another DIY for a different braid. If there are other hairstyles you'd like to try but don't know how, comment below so I can show you how to do them.

Have a great hair day! xo
