I've been itching to go on vacation this year, and to take my husband, Zoro, to Chicago, he's never been and it's one of my favorite cities to visit. There's so much to see, the architecture is stunning, the food is amazing, the parks, the people...if you haven't been I highly suggest making a trip out there soon. Chicago is so beautiful, when we were there the weather was perfect everyday! I felt like we got do to so much, but I know we'll go back because there was still so much more that we wanted to see and do. Some of things we did were: The Architecture Tour (I highly recommend this), we went to several coffee shops (we LOVE coffee!) walked around The University of Chicago campus, walked around several parks, we went to Navy Pier, ate lots of food, and I'm so happy I got to visit Nike Chicago for an NTC class (yes of course I had to get a couple of workouts in "NO DAYS OFF!"). While we were in Chicago, we were there during one of the most exciting times of the year, baseball season! As most of you might know I'm a big fan of baseball, and being in Chicago while the Chicago Cubs were in the World Series was so much fun to cheer with everyone in the city! We left on Tuesday, the day before Game 7, I didn't want to leave, I wanted to stay and cheer on the Cubs, thankfully they won! We were cheering loud here at home!
Zoro took soooooo many pictures and it was so cute to see his reaction when we first arrived downtown, and I'm happy he took A LOT of pics! Today I'll be sharing some of the pictures with you from our short trip:
As mentioned earlier we are big fans of coffee, and we love a good cup of Joe, so we mapped out a several spots to visit and these were four of our favorite spots: Bow Truss, Robust Coffee Lounge, Goddess and The Baker, Cemitas Puebla.
Since it was Zoro's first time to Chicago of course we had to visit 'The Bean' and Navy Pier, and walked in several parks: Grant Park, Millennium Park, Jackson Park, Hyde Park. Zoro is a designer, it was a must for us to visit Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House. We had an incredible time in Chicago and cannot wait to go back and visit and see more and eat at more fantastic restaurants. Our next trip, I'll be doing lots of shopping for sure!! Enjoy the rest of the pics!
One last thing, if you're a fan of donuts go to Stan's Donuts. They're soooooo good! And we were lucky to get a free box of donuts just as we were heading back to Canada. YUM!!!
